MXQ Rules
MXQ Rules adopt Asian Rules in the main, however only parts of it are little different. We adopt Asian Rules, because it is not only the most widely used International standard rules in the world at present, but also easy to understand. MXQ will receive all of players in different levels from each area of the world,so simple and clear rules are helpful to prevent players from misunderstanding games.

Basis Technical Terms

1.Protected - A piece is protected if there is a piece that can capture any piece that takes the protected piece. When "A" takes "B", if "C" can take "A", "B" is protected.
2.Real protector - When a protected piece is taken, the protector can actually remove the taker at once.
3.False protector - When a protected piece is taken, the protector cannot actually remove the taker.
4.Hidden protector-When a protected piece is taken, the protector can not remove the taker at once but can do later.
5.Check - A move of any piece that causes the opponent's King to be threatened with capture in the next move.
6.Chase - A piece moves to a position where it can capture an opponent's piece which has not an real protector and is not the King, in the next move.
7.Perpetual Check - Continuously checking the opponent, causing the sequence of moves from both sides to fall into a fixed pattern.
8.Perpetual Chase - When one keeps chasing one piece of the other and the other keeps resolving the chase, one is perpetually chasing.
9.Repeated Moves- The moves of both sides is neither Perpetual Check nor Perpetual Chase,but the sequence of moves from both sides fall into a fixed pattern.
10.Total Moves-The total number of moves from both sides.
11.Effective Moves-At most ten checks from each side are included while we compute the number of moves.
12.Moves of not taking Any Piece: moves of Continuously not taking any piece from both sides.

Detailed Rules of Technical Terms

13. It belongs to "Check" when a piece is checking while chasing.
14. "Chase" must meet the following term:the state of "Chase" do not exist before the move.
15.It also belongs to "Chase" if one move horse or cannon to chase one protected chariot of the other.
16.It dose not belong to "Perpetual Chase " if a King or a Pawn perpetually chases.
17.It does not belong to "Perpetual Chase" or "Perpetual Check" if "Check" and "Chase" appears alternately.

Judgement Principle

18.Only "Perpetual Checkˇ± and "Perpetual Chaseˇ± are forbidden.
19. It is a draw if both sides persist in playing "Perpetual Check" against each other repeatedly.
20.It is a draw if both sides persist in playing "Perpetual Chase"ˇ± against each other repeatedly
21.If One persists in playing "Perpetual Checkˇ± while the other persists in playing "Perpetual Chase",one is ruled to lose.
22.The side who persists in playing "Perpetual Check" or "Perpetual Chase" will be ruled to lose.
23 It is a draw when both sides persist in playing "Repeated Moves" without alteration.
24 It is a draw when Effictive Moves of not taking Any Piece reach 100. 25.It is a draw when Total Moves reach 400.
Detailed Rules

26 It should be calculated from the move which does take any piece when calculating the moves of "Perpetual Check ˇ± or "Perpetual Chase"or " Repeated Moves". ˇ±.
27. At least 6 checks or chases from each side is needed to do judgement when both sides persist in playing "Perpetual Check" or "Perpetual Chase" against each other.
28. When only one side is in "Perpetual Check",he should move one piece to check for no more than 6 times,move two pieces to check for no more than 12 times ,move several pieces to check for no more than 18 times.
29.When only one side is in "Perpetual Chase",one should chase for no more than 6 times.
30. When both side is in "Repeated Moves",the cycle state should appear for at least 3 times if any side want to have a judgement.
31.When applying the Moves Limit,it can not be a draw while one side is checkmated or stalemated
Special Indication

32.It should obey MXQ Rules when there is difference from Asian Rules in "Perpetual Chase".
33.It should obey Asian Rules when there is something can not be solved by MXQ Rules.
